Consultation with a PPMD AMM physician will be scheduled for several weeks later. This will allow time for the lab & clinical tests results to be received and reviewed by the physician prior to your consultation. In addition to reviewing this information, and offering recommendations based on these findings, the physician will share nutrition & exercise principles with you that are not only simple to implement, but more importantly, get results, and are the basis for a long, vibrant, healthy life. The initial consultation includes 90 days of access to your PPMD AMM physician via e-mail and / or telephone.
Successful age management requires quarterly measurement and monitoring, especially if hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is part of your age management program. Monitoring includes lab testing (rarely would this be as extensive as the testing done initially), occasionally the repeat of a clinical test, and an office or phone consultation to review the results. Quarterly monitoring is required if you wish to continue HRT. Additionally, it keeps the line of communication open between you and your PPMD AMM physician.
Although age management services are not covered under traditional health insurance plans, the costs may be reimbursable expenses under health reimbursement or health savings accounts. Additionally, like all out-of-pocket health expenses, these expenses maybe tax deductible. (We recommend consultation with your tax advisor.)
