Troy A. Burns, M.D. - Medical Director

Troy A. Burns, M.D. - Medical Director
Troy A. Burns, M.D. is
the Founder and Medical Director of ProPartnersMD.
He is a 1986 graduate of the University of Missouri - Kansas
City School of Medicine and completed an internship in Internal Medicine
at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City the following year.
Since 1987, Dr. Burns has specialized in men's health,
preventive and occupational medicine, and urgent care.
Dr. Burns' interest
in men's health began in 1988 when he was asked by a urologist at a
local clinic to perform thorough diagnostic evaluations on men suffering
from sexual dysfunction or impotence.
In 1990 he established his own specialty medical practice
exclusively for men. This
practice, The Diagnostic Center for Men, along with a network of 35
other Diagnostic Center for Men locations which he established across
the country, became the nation's leading provider of diagnostic and
treatment services for men suffering from sexual dysfunction. His experience with thousands of men in this setting led Dr.
Burns to conceive of a new type of men's health medical practice
tailored to the unique needs of men.
In the fall of 2001 ProPartnersMD was formed with the purpose of
saving men's lives by early detection of disease and helping them
adopt healthier lifestyles. Dr.
Burns also feels strongly that men expect quality service in addition to
quality medical care. That's
why an additional distinctive of ProPartnersMD is immediate access to
general medical care through same-day appointments, minimal wait times,
and phone calls returned within an hour.
In addition to a focus on men's health, Dr. Burns has practiced occupational and environmental medicine since 1987. He provides a wide range of physical examination services required by corporations as well as urgent medical care for work-related injuries.
Dr. Burns has been a Principal Investigator in numerous clinical research studies in the area of men's health, has authored a long list of educational materials for physicians and the general public on men's health issues, and has extensive public speaking and media experience discussing health topics of interest to men. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Christian Medical and Dental Society, is licensed to practice medicine in Kansas, Missouri, and Indiana, and is on staff at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
